| This is a good sounding bootleg! By the way, after I bought the "Victory In Balingen" 2-CD, I decided it's better to just download the audio and burn it to a CD, and make your own covers because there's really no difference. That's exactly what the aforementioned CD was, crappy bootleg with shitty covers home-made by some guy who decides to make money out of it. But as a stupid collector, I can make exceptions with some more professional looking ones, like "The Brotherhood Tour 2002", and some vinyl and DVD bootlegs. But mostly they are just half-hearted crap with no effort with cover arts whatsoever and not worth your money. |

Mmm ... The bootlegs "always" been part of the metal and any other music ... It is common that bootlegs are very limited editions and well if you're a true fan who collects everything he can in a banda (In my case, Running Wild) ... The bootlegs are not the problem when compared with MP3 and how easy it is to have a disc with just one click, thousands of fans with a PC full of MP3 discs without paying anything (there are no passion!).
Furthermore I understand that it is illegal, but if some Running Wild, I go a little crazy and becomes a necessity ... Besides I have all I can in their original format, a bootleg edition is just a band that does not draw ever and the fans should not be a problem ... All other problems have to do with the money and stamps ...
Bootlegs are not a real problem ...

And the Bootlegs? some of them show up very high in the cyber market.
Rock and Rolf: Yeah well, I have seen many, but it is something that is not within reach of my hands. Nor is that I care too much because the normal people, normal fans do not buy bootlegs, you really buy Bootlegs are people in their most collectors anyway, go buy the original discs so I am not concerned about the issue of pirated discs. Otherwise quite different pirated editions are available in many countries in our records officers, that it is different because the fan, is paying for a disc that I have, and the money is going up in the hands of someone outside the group, which is not very logical. Anyway, although I do not mind the fans buy these bootlegs, I fuck someone to get money from my job without my consent. The pirated discs such that you can download over the Internet do not cause any problem because there is no money in the middle, but there are others where you pay a fortune and that money goes into the hands of a stranger. |

hmmm, some of these bootlegs look really professional.
i am questioning, if there is an factory behind those pressings, which earns a lot of money. and rw sees no one cent of the selling of such bootlegs.
thats very criminal imho. i mean not the fans, who spend alot of money to get everything of the band. i mean those bastards, who sell such stuff.
so, imho, Jens is totally right.
only if i buy an "official" record, than i support the band. thats the fact!

To make it clear: I have bootlegs from RW and I like to collect them as well, but only by trading them. If someone starts to make a business with material he doesn't own any copyright on, it starts to get criminal and illegal and THIS is what has to be condemned. | I think from now on trading is the best way to acquire live bootlegs, than to pay for overpriced, half-hearted releases Like I said, I bought the "Victory In Balingen" 2-CD and it's absolutely the same as if I had burned the CD's myself and printed my own covers. No difference whatsoever, it's no more "real" if it's made by some asshole somewhere. What pisses me off the most in these commercial bootlegs is that the quality of the release is always really crap, of course you can't expect great sound from a crowd-recording but I mean in terms of appearance. Honestly I could pull better cover-designs out of my ass. Some professional looking ones are a (guilty) pleasure to own as they look nice and are good (or bad) for collectors who want everything. |

| I agree with you on many things ... I insist on the bootlegs "have always been part of the metal" and do not affect the sales of bands like Running Wild ... The real problem today is not a bootleg, the problem today is the Internet, the convenience, ease ... The mp3 and download pages,(blogspot and other shits) where you get everything free without the need to purchase an original ... Check the Internet, millions of idiots to download pages and 90% of metal fans are still present this new and easy way ... That if a theft for bands, labels and so is for the old spirit of the underground ... Today's metal scene has been transformed into something without identity, chewing without swallowing .. Any more light and easy ... Indeed, today you can be a fan of metal and the next day dancing with your girlfriend in a discotheque, ha, ha, ha ... Bootlegs are bootlegs, buy or low, the problem is minimal ... |

I am an old fan .. Bootlegs
Running Wild is my favorite band of all time and with all matters relating to the band..
The idea is to share with bootlegs fans among us, I do not see why the market ..
There are many people who expect a one bootlegs Ready For Boarding give an example ..
A bootleg by it sounds bad but is a faithful impression of Running Wild 100% direct ..
The album "Lives" of today are like studio with people chanting songs ..

Bootleg trading is a good thing for a band. It means that their live performance is good enough to awake fans' feelings in order to record it with illusion, searching for other bootlegs and so on.
But i said for TRADE, no for sale. IMHO, bootlegs are pieces of the live history of a band from fans to fans.
And with a band like RW, with so few live releases, is by far very important.
