Hello Rolf!
It's very sad that the history of Running Wild is coming to an end. I Still remember when I heard Running Wild for the first time, it was Prowling Werewolf from the best of album 20 Years in History, and I've been hooked ever since. I never had a chance to experience you live and since I can't make it to Wacken it looks like it will stay that way. Still, your music will live on forever and I hope Rolf and all Running Wild band members (present and past) will have a great future life!
Death or Glory - We're Riding the Storm!
Greetings,

O Captain! My Captain!
our fearful trip ain't done
The ship has weather’d every rack, but the prize I seek is still to be won;
You may not freed some million slaves from opression but your music did it with at least equally many souls as it always did with mine from the times I was a little boy to my tweens and still will do during the rest of my life whenever it needs salvation and for that I will be eternally grateful so I will take command myself now and hope that whenever you may return from your intergalactial journey I will be able to finally report that from fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
In the meantime I reminisce about the days of old with that old time Rock'n'Rolf !
Your music will always be at this rebel's heart!
Your's gratefully

It made me really sad to read that RW wont exist anymore, because this band has meant so much to me and had such an impact on my life since I became a fan 22 years ago, and also one of my main inspirations as a guitarist and songwriter. RW has been the soundtrack to my life basically and my world will be a poorer place without it.
It`s strange to realize that one of my absolute favourite bands wont be active and release any new music anymore. I couldn`t imagine a world without RW but now it`s a reality.
If Rolf is reading this - I want to thank you for some of the greatest music ever created, for all the memories and for all the joy and magic you have given me through the years. Your legacy will live on... |

Hello Rolf,
now an Area has ended.
I listen to your music since Gates to Purgatory and now your sailing away to
new shores.
I wish you all the best for the new lands you are visiting and truelly hope,
that Running Wild will come back one day and "Riding the storm" again.
So long, I let the roger fly high.

Cheerz guys ...
Just wanted to stop by and send my big hails to the band ...
It's a pity I had not the chance to see you live in the past here in Greece ...
(your 2004 show in Rockwave-Athens that I attended was canceled)
Even though the announcensement for the end of Running Wild is made ... I still hope that maybe in the future things will change and I will get the chance to see you live ...
We are very anxious for the release of the Wacken show dvd ...
so I just wanted to add 2 names in the ending credits of this dvd ...
Ioannis Lagoudakis
Manolis Kapandaidakis
My thanks ... and my hails ... pirates ...

Euer treuer Fan seit 20 Jahren

Quacken and I went to see the final Running Wild show at Wacken.
As long as I've listened to metal and rock music I've always enjoyed Running Wild. The style of music really resonates with me and I find it passionate and intelligent.
Thanks for making so much great music over the years. Whatever direction you choose to take next we will be listening
Regards,
Dan and Quacken from England.

It's a pity that the first "Running Wild" show I've seen (at Wacken 2009) is their last one - now I know it for sure. On the other hand, it is as honest farewell as it could be. So thank you, Rock'n'Rolf, for the excellent music you've made that always gives people an energy to carry on, for the idea of a piracy as a symbol of freedom, but first of all - for being honest with us, die hard "Running Wild" fans.
Peter, Peter, Matthias, AC, Axel, Bernd, Christos, Wolfgang, Iain, Jens, Jorg, Majk, Matthias, Gerald, Stefan, Stephan, Thilo, Thomas, Uwe and everyone else every worked with "Running Wild" - thank you guys. I am sure that without your help it could not be possible.
Andrei Paleyes, Minsk, Belarus
At the end some photos of the farewell show (I am proud to be a part of it):

Hi,
My name is Michael, I'm 27 and I discovered Running Wild only a few weeks ago.
Honestly, I have never been so incredibly fascinated with any band yet.
I completely agree with a guy who put a comment in youtube, saying that "RUNNING WILD IS THE DEFINITION OF ETERNAL METAL GREATNESS".
I'm listening to all Running Wild albums over and over again, and I just can't get enough :) I tried finding similar bands, but none of them can even compete. I'm now 100% sure I'll never hear a better band till the end of my life.
I regret being so late - If I only knew about Running Wild earlier, I wouldn't have missed so many incredible live shows.
I don't have any tattoos yet, but the decision has been made - soon I'll have the Running Wild one!

Running Wild ist für mich DIE Metal Band schlechthin. :pirate1:
:D
Stay Wild forever!!! :metal: |

Ahh, yes it would have been nice to say hello to other RW fans! I did meet a Polish guy and girl who said they were on this board too, I gave them some spare eye patches hehe. I'm off to Bloodstock in a week, England's small answer to Wacken. There I shall continue to spread the word of Running Wild. |

It was a very emotional moment in my life that turned me completly into a metal-fan when my uncle gave me the “Pile Of Skulls”-album to listen to. Before that I’ve also listened to some heavy music but not the way I did after first hearing that unlimited power and energy that could be felt in the music of that album (especially in “Treasure Island”). Even I wasn’t born when the first “Running Wild”-albums where released (I was born in the “Blazon Stone”-year 1991) on that day “Running Wild” for me became one of the greatest bands on earth and will ever be.
Thanks for that and good luck for the future! |

Hallo,

Hi Rock 'n Rolf,
I heard Running Wild for the first time in 1995 with the Masquerade album and immediately became a fan. In the next 14 years I collected almost all of the albums (I do not have the last live recording, but that will change soon ) and anxiously awaited for any news about the band.
I was very sad to learn that there will be no more Running Wild but as the old and wise people say "All good things come to an end". I wish to thank you and all the band members for the great music and the great time.
Unfortunately I was unable to attend Wacken but luckily bought online ticket for the streaming of the first day and so was able to watch the farewell gig. It was a great way to say goodbye and these were 2 of the best hours in my life. Thank You once again.

It's sad that our first running wild gig at wacken this year, also was our last one, (although we hope not). Thanks for the great music, too bad we only saw a few of the many RW songs live.
May the future bring us many years of piracy, yarrr!
