Hey Rolf!

Also:

Thank you Running Wild!

Jannik Günther form Germany^^

Running Wild..a band, that filled my heart with heavy metal pride, a many years ago..There are no words, that can describe, how much did your music for me in my life..we still play songs "Under Jolly roger" and "Riding the storm" with my band Swordkeeper, and that feeling, when I play them, is still indescribable , for all the years! My biggest metal dream was (and still is!) to see Running Wild live. Unfortunelly - it´s not possible, but I will still hope, that one day I´ll see again the Jolly roger flag on the horizon of wide metal ocean. The waves will be so silent without your music!..Running wild will be forever a big part of my Metal Heart!! Wink

..so I wish you all the best in the future, Rolf! Smile

Mr. Rolf:
I really want to thank you for your music. In my country you are not so popular like other bands, but believe me, you are well known by people like me, who really love the true Metal music.
Here there is really hard to find RW music, and most of it we must use the several ways to import CD's like EBAY, or even go to some guys who import the CD's from Europe or USA, because the main music stores are not interested on bringing us nice music. pirate1
Anyway, I am really proud of being a RW fan (since late 90's), and I really treasure your music as a very important part of my life.
I'm very sad that this adventure is over but we all must accept that all journeys come to an end.
Thanks Mr. Kasparek for all these years and I wish all the best to you and all the Running Wild family.

Greetings from Mexico City cheers
David Romero

RUNNING WILD is and will always remain the band that turned me into a metal fan since my teen years, and eventually changed my life as I met my love, my husband. More than a band, rather a state of mind wrapped into a stage name.

Thank you for making me the one I am today, through your spirit!

I was introduced to Running Wild some 20 years ago when my brother bought Ready for Boarding and Under Jolly Roger on cassette. I am still hooked to say the least.
Now I have a 14 month old kid, which of course will recieve a proper introduction to metal through your magnificent and undying work.
Though, still depressed about the recent news I wish you all the luck in the world on your new way.

The flag will forever fly here in Norway!

Best wishes to you and yours from a Rebel at Heart.

Running Wild for many years have been my favourite band for many reasons but one thing that has always kept me coming back for more is the great heavy metal that is played how it should be. Each album a masterpiece in its own right and contains so much energy that still survives over the years. Rolf is a legend and will be remembered as one of the greats.

Danke Rolf! Deine Songs begleiteten mich seit meinem 12.Lebensjahr!

I have seen Running Wild for the first time in 2002 at the Gods of Metal festival in Italy. I knew them by name, but I had not their music.
That was also my first festival and I remember that concert like one of the best of that day and Running Wild was my biggest surprise of the entire festival.
I live in Sicily,in the south of Italy,so I have not many choices to see great concerts cause in this part of the nation there is nothing for metalheads.
So I will go to Wacken and I will salute this historic band for the last journey.

Hey Rolf!!!
I´m very sad to hear about the end of Running Wild, because you were such a great inspiration for me! You were one of the very first Heavy Metal bands I´ve ever listened and inspired me to play guitar and live a Metal lifestyle! Again, Thank You so much!!! You and your music will be live on forever in my heart and my soul!!!

Gidday Rolf,

Thanks for 15 years of awesome music - I first discovered Running Wild back in 1994 with the brilliant 'Black Hand Inn' which totally blew me away - I honestly had never before heard such an amazing album and I loved the unique RW style and the pirate theme. From that point on I've had a blast collecting the rest of the RW discography. Awesome music from an awesome band - simply the best. I wish you all the best for the future in all that you do.

Cheers, mate! cheers

Craig (Ironballs) Thomson - New Zealand

... Jens, might be a nice addition to include each person's home country to show that RW's music really has covered the seven seas. Cool

Well, it´s very hard to explain in a few lines the meaning of RW for me.
It has been many years with you walking on my side, helping me and changing my mood when i needed it, as no other band has never done.

That´s why when somebody asked me, "hey dude, what´s RW?", i always answered proudly that they were bigger than a metal band, they were a way of life, and i know every die hard fan think the same.

For me, besides the music, which is the best i´ve ever heard, with unique style, lyrics, atmosphere and feelings brought to me, there was something more. Something that cannot be expressed with words, maybe something like the euphoria between the end of the intro and the first riff of Port Royal.

Thanks Rolf, old members, the RW crew and everybody who made it possible for so many years of your music, i wish you the best for the future.

Best regards,

Julian del Campo (Spain)

I've been a fan of Running Wild for a few years now. Over that time I've collected all of your albums, and they've given me many hours of metal pleasure.
I'm sad to hear of the end of Running Wild, but I suppose everybody moves on eventually,
Good luck Rolf,

Well now over 30 years of piracy and league of Satan Rolf finally quits and sails to the harbour of retirement. Thanks a lot for those great years during the legenmdary nineties. I still like to recall my first RUNNING WILD concert on February 5th, 1993, Nuremberg, Resi.
What a mindblowing and ear-devastating concert that was!! AWESOME!!!

Here are some pics of the RW gig in Munich, September 2005 ... sorry for the quality of the pics they were made with a mobile phone.

And my name is:
Marco "RocknRausch" Rausch from Karlsruhe, Germany (guess where my nickname is from Wink ).

It's me in the middle of the pic, turning around and saying something to Pagangel who is the guy at the right of the pic.

Hi Rolf,

I'm Faber Troy from Rome, Italy a country where Running Wild are considered a cult band, but finding your CDs was very hard in the past.

I bought my first Running Wild Cd "Pile Of Skulls" in 1993 in France, by accident, by remebring a video clip of BAD TO THE BONE, played late at nite during the Rock programming in a music channel on saturday nites.

The first CD always represents love at first sight...so it is for this one, too.

My life changed completely.
I was sad as i thought i was loosing Iron Maiden (my favourite band back then) but i discovered a new and promising treasure like RUNNNING WILD.
I discovered my love for Piracy, double bass drums and anthemic chorus as well as cool guitar riffing. I discovered German Power Metal and many other cult and authentic bands (we all know who they are) which kept up the flag of Heavy Metal Piracy in Europe during those grunge times.

I finally made to come to Zeppelin Halle in Germany to see you live during the Victory Tour.
Thanks to you, i knew one of my biggest friends and the biggest RUNNING WILD supporter from ITALY, called Arcangelo De Ieso.

Songs like Lead or Gold, Tresure Island, Bad To The Bone, Black Hand Inn, Raise your fist, Little Big Horn, Riding The Storm, Port Royal kept me going in my life (good and bad times)!

YOU WILL BE FOR EVER A GREAT INSPIRATION, SYMBOL OF ATTITUTE, COHERENCE and AUTHENTICITY. A PATH TO FOLLOW.
RUNNING WILD IS A WAY OF LIFE!!!!

THANKS FOR ALL YOU HAVE REPRESENTED IN THE MUSIC AND IN OUR LIVES.

YOU WILL BE OUR CAPTAIN FOR EVER!!!!

GOOD LUCK FOR FUTURE PROJECTS!

With no doubt, during these 30 years, Running Wild has written a whole history that will go against the wheel of time … with nostalgia, with passion, with emotion, with the madness of the fan that I am, I can say “Thank you very much Rock n’ Rolf, Thank you very much Running Wild” for creating such a majestic music, for loving and respecting your fans.

Thanks for the passion you delivered while playing, thanks for writing each note that makes our blood boil. My words are few while my emotions are too many to be described on a small space. The band of my life, the band I’ll inherit to my kids, the band that makes company to my beers, the band that makes me raise my fist. Thanks for your legacy, thanks for your history.

Thanks Rolf for your consequence, for having made this band into something unique, for having made more than just music.

From South America (Chile) I wish you the best.

Running Wild will live forever!!!
