I've never ever heard about this, but the version with a rum bottle I know and seen on eBay some years ago. And did they really have all the tour dates settled for a 1996 tourshirt at a time when they make a promoversion of an album? I've seen other "promo boxes" too on eBay recently, even one other from RW with Black Demons On Stage stuff included. And I think they were all from the same seller too. Looks nicely crafted but I think it's definitely a fake. Look also at that Adrian design on the envelope, looks more like the recent one. |

I remember from 1995, that they released two kinds of wooden boxes for the Masquerade release. I Have the 'small' wooden box, which is just a wooden box around the Album Case. There was said to be another one with a VHS in it, and the album and some extra, probably a bit 'larger' box. This might be it. |

I have the larger box and this is definitely not it. |

we already have in thread here in sight of the Masquerade wooden boxset.
there must be 3 versions. the first one is the CD with treasure map an wooden hull. the second one is an larger one, an chest, with some extras like the captain log. the third an most rare one is the chest with en extra bottle of Captain Morgans Rum. have an look at this thread with some pics of these editions:

in case of this item in the first post, i would bet on an fake, but an really good one, but i am not sure. the t-shirt really looks weird. Adrian on an throne...think this idea is stolen from the Running Wild Biographie (cover), Jens works on. so this item must be an fake...
here is an link to an metal.de article in sight of the biographie

OK now I found again these other fake box sets he had for sale earlier:
Pantera - Metal Magic and Running Wild - Days Of Purgatory
There's funny spelling errors, and what amuses me most is the "not for sale" tag as it's painfully obvious these were made for nothing else than to be sold on ebay
In sight of these other forgeries from this same seller, it's safe to assume this Masquerade one is a fake too. The color tint on the LP cover even looks like the brazilian bootleg, but that could be also result of the image itself. |

How the hell can people pay that much for a friggin' bootleg? I hope the person who won the auction is well aware of the fact that it's just some "home made" stuff and nothing more. |
