If you think it's NOT Time for Running Wild to give up, then post here. If there are many Posts enough and Rolf reads them, he possibly overthinks his Decision.

You do understand that there is no way that this small fanbase could turn his mind around? So I won't even bother. |

I dislike repeating me.
So if you want to try, please post!
Otherwise don't post.
Simple, isn't it? |

I only post my opinion here that Rolf has the right to do what he feels like.
If that includes to hoist the sail on his greatest achievement - so be it. |

Although I would love to hear at least a new album I agree. Every musician and band has the right and even should do what they want. Behaving just like the "fans" want them to be is totally untrue and not Metal at all.
Rolf knows for sure what he's doing and I am almost sure this was not the last time we heard something from or about him... |

quitting the business is okay, but making bad albums is not...after all, people are supposed to pay money for them |

What is "bad" and what is "good"? Who defines it? It's always a matter of personal taste.
I know some people who doesn't like "Rogues En Vogue" but I know even more people who love this album. And in fact "Rogues En Vogue" has everything a typical RUNNING WILD album needs: melodies, hymns, variation, interesting themes... |

a "bad" album is typically defined (meaning most people would agree I think) by giving a "half-hearted" feeling (it's audible that the artist did not have fun recording that album) or by showing a lack of creativity.
Lack of creativity is true for "The Brotherhood", but "Rogues En Vogue" shows quite a bit of that. But nevertheless, it gives me that feeling that Rolf did not want to make that album and most of all give that album a decent production |

What a said about the matter of taste is valid also for a production. I like the production of "The Brotherhood" for example very much - some other does not. - But please, this is not a thread for discussions about production or your favorite albums.
Let's hear some others what they think about Rolf's decision and if they want to persuade him, let's shout it out loud...here. |

Every musician has the right to do what is ok with him, no doubt about that.
The only thing i´m complaining about is that I personally think this is not the correct end that a band like RW deserves. Nor the band, nor the fans. |

Kinda sad I would love to hear more material from Running Wild so Rolf if youre bored of touring and stuff, well you could always just record a new albums and maybe do a show or two when you feel like it! |

Surely it is his Right to quit the Band if he wants to. I (we) don't want to persuade him. It's only about expressing our Sadness how this great Band ends. ReV as a last Album just isn't worthy Running Wild. And what about the Progress?
2005: New Album
2005 - 2009: No News about a new Album, no Statements, nothing but
Silence.
2009: Declaration of Rolf he will stop Running Wild
As Blind_Privateer wrote above, this is not an Ending a great Band like Running Wild deserves it! |

First of all, Rolf is an human as all people here in this forum and only he
directs the destiny of his life. If he wants to change, than only he can
make the decision. Every person in this forum is trying to make the best out of its
life. everybody lives its own life. And nobody other can/should direct the life
of an other person. Thats clear. So, its Rolfs decision for his life.
Clear, for all of us people/fans here, yesterday was one of blackest days in
our life. Our faves are lowering the flag. But life still goes on.
Okay, if this thread will help, RW staying alive, than you got my voice.
I would also like to hear some new, heavy pirate stuff.
But, nobody would be helped, if the next album-release would be half-hearted.
I have one thing to criticise:
THE WAY HOW THE END HAPPEND
Mean, an goodbye tour with last concert at wacken would be great.
But to announce, that the last show, the one and only show, will be at wackken, when the whole tickets are
sold out...its a shame. So there will be much metalheads there, but the most true RW fans will not have the ability to get there. Thats sad!!!!
Keep this in mind. Rolf, i wish you good look for your next projects. But one thing:
STAY HEAVY!!!!
Sorry for the bad english, you know, the RUM |

Seewolf, I got your Point. You are Right but you didn't read carefully what I wrote above So one Last Time:
IT'S NOT ABOUT INFLUENCING OR PERSUADING ROLF!!! IT'S ABOUT EXPRESSING SADNESS ABOUT THE ENDING OF THE BAND!!! IT'S A SORT OF A PETITION!!!
I hope I did make my Point of View clearly enough now |

In my very humble opinion, Rolf's decision deserves nothing but respect and agreement.
RUNNING WILD is a band that has accompanied me for a huge part of my life, and so far they have never really disappointed me. So if Rolf feels that the time has come to leave in dignity, he is totally right. And the moment is decent (even though the latest album is too far back).
The end of the band reminds me a lot of the departure of SENTENCED, even though they managed to leave at the climax of their career (RW are long past that already... ) and celebrated their end in a more comprehensive way (funeral album, goodbye tour, farewell concert + dvd). But a farewell festival-show + live-recording is better than nothing.
So thanks to RUNNING WILD for everything they have given to me, R.I.P. and please don't come back in a few years with a lame reunion or something. |

You are right, Privateer.I know, nobody here is persuading Rolf. But a petition
is a little bit of INFLUENCING him, you know. Or, whats the sense of a petition???
I totally agree to Taurelins point of view!!! |

Depends. If it's about money then no, but if Rolf really finds his passion and creativity to write classic RW tunes again + maybe with some old members i would totally support that! |

I understand Rolf's decision, and I respect it.
I don't know what I will do in the next 30 years, so I can understand he wants to do something new, or something different. I listened to TOXIC TASTE and I think it's a crap, but if Rolf feels happy doing that, then go for it.
It's better to stop the band where it's now, than to fuck own legend like for example IRON MAIDEN do.
Of course this would be my dream to hear new RW album playing in the oldstyle, or to see some old guys in the band again. But it's my dream, not Rolf's one.
I have no idea if he will read these words (probably not) but well, I'm grateful for all the great albums Rolf did with RW so far, even if I don't like some of them. Good luck man, in everything you do |

I understand Rolf's decision although it would be great if there was a small farewell tour at least through Germany's well-known smaller halls. But I always felt that RW won't release a new album or play another tour ... when I met RocknRolf in Munich after the show in September 2005 I knew ... I felt inside that Rolf was fed up with RW.
Therefore the right consequence is to bury RW (hopefully not in the pet cemetery ). |
